On 11 July, 2024, Dr. Nian Peng, Director of RCAS, accepted an interview from Ming Pao Daily (Hong Kong) on China’s report exposing the grave damage done to the ecosystem around Ren'ai Reef in the South China Sea (SCS) by the vessel that the Philippines has illegally grounded there. He analyzed the main reasons and the effects of China's new actions in the SCS.
