On 1 July, 2024, Dr. Ghulam Ali, Deputy Director of RCAS, accepted an interview from Lian He Zao Bao (Singapore) on China’s Aircraft Carrier Shandong's presence in waters about 200 nautical miles away from Luzon Island, the Philippines. He analyzed the main reasons and the effects of this action on the South China Sea(SCS) situation.
