On 14 May, 2024, Dr. Nian Peng, Director of RCAS, accepted an interview from Hong Kong China News Agency (HKCNA) on the recent actions taken by "This is ours", a Filipino nongovernmental organization, in the waters near the Huang'yan Island. He analyzed the main reasons and the negative effects of the Philippines' actions on the South China Sea(SCS) situation.
