Prof. Pankaj Jha is Non-resident Senior Fellow at Research Centre for Asian Studies(RCAS), China, as well as Professor with Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA), and is also Editor-in-Chief of the JSIA Journal. He teaches national, international security, and defence strategy to the postgraduate students. He is also director of Centre for Security Studies (CSS) and Executive Director of Centre for Security and Strategy Studies(CESCUBE). Prof. Pankaj Jha was Director (Research) with Indian Council of World Affairs for more than two and half years (2014-2017). He has been member of high-level delegations to Israel, Belgium, Germany, Turkey, Australia and other countries. He has been the visiting fellow with Centre for International Security Studies, Sydney University (2009) and Institute for South Asian Studies, Singapore (2006). He had worked as Fellow with Indian Council of World Affairs for three years and Associate Fellow with Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses for six years.
He has also given lectures and participated in high level dialogues in Germany, Belgium, Israel, China, New Zealand, and Australia. He has more than 80 articles/academic papers in both refereed and non–refereed journals. He is regularly quoted in International Newspapers/Magazines such as Nikkei Asian Review, South China Morning Post, Bangkok Post, Gulf News and International Business Times etc. He has authored three books on India and China in Southeast Asia: Competition or Cooperation (2013), and India and the Oceania: Exploring Vistas of Cooperation (2016). His latest book is on India, Vietnam and the Indo-Pacific, Routledge London (2021), and this year he has co-authored two books on ‘Crafting National Security Strategy for India’(2021) and ‘Envisioning India’s Role in the Indo-Pacific’(2021).
