About This Book
It was the beginning of a thaw in Indo-Myanmar relations after the Cold-War when India gradually shifted from criticizing the junta to engage with it. Thereafter, Indo-Myanmar relations have been greatly improved during the Vajpayee and Singh government in India. Since Modi became the new Premier, he brought a strong impetus to the warm Indo-Myanmar relations. Given the fast-growing Indo-Myanmar relations, this book examines the driving force, development and limitations,as well as the prediction of Indo-Myanmar relations in the Post-Cold War era. It also analyzes the great power rivalry in Myanmar, the Sino-Indian rivalry in particular.
